FACE THE EXAM CONFIDENTALY
It has been observed that students feel pressurized &
hence anxious due to the last minute hassle. A student needs to be prepared
emotionally, physically as well as intellectually. A good night’s sleep before
the test is important. What else? Here are the ways to take the exam
confidently.
BEFORE THE EXAM:-
Analyze the test papers to determine how you can improve
your results. Break study sessions into manageable time segments &
meaningful units. You’ll remember more if you study for short periods of time
say 45-60 minutes. Practice answering easy questions before the test. Form a
study group with other students in your class to discuss & quiz each other
on important topics.
DURING THE EXAM:-
Get to the test site early so you can select a seat,
organize your material & get relaxed. Be prepared with pencils, papers,
calculators, book, codes, etc. Survey the entire test before you answer any
questions. This will help you to get an overview of what is expected & to
strategize how you will take the test. Take a few deep breaths and to relax
tense muscles. Read directions carefully. Ask questions if you don’t understand
or need clarification. Answer the easiest question first to help your calm
down. Think before you write. Remember a good answer. Start with direct
response to the questions. Mentions the topics or areas described in the
question. Write legibly. Leave some space so you can add to your answer later.
When problem solving ask yourself. What I am being asked to find? What do I
need to know in order to find the answer? What information has been provided
that will help me to find the answer? What steps should I follow to solve the
problem? Does the answer make sense. Keep an eye on the clock. Make sure you’ll
have time to complete the test sections with the highest value if not the
entire test.
AFTER THE EXAM:-
When you receive your test paper ,go over it to determine
area’s of strength & weakness in your test taking skills. If you have done
poorly learn from your mistakes. Always analyze your tests to determine how you
can improve future test results.
